Renaissance to host Electric Avenue Sept. 28

The Renaissance Performing Arts Association is thrilled to present Electric Avenue as part of the Avita Health System Concert Series on Saturday, Sept. 28, at 7:30 p.m. This event promises an unforgettable night as the band channels the vibrant spirit of 1980s new wave and radio pop, delivering electrifying performances that will transport you back in time.

Electric Avenue, led by the mesmerizing vocals and guitar of Kevin Spencer, alongside Eric Frampton on keys, Will Groth on drums, Shannon Pengelly on guitar, and Tom Young on bass, meticulously recreates every nuance of the era’s hits. From humble beginnings to over 100 shows annually worldwide, Electric Avenue has become a beacon of 1980s nostalgia, using vintage synthesizers and rare signal processors to authentically capture the sound that defined a generation.

Their dedication to authenticity has garnered critical acclaim, including a memorable encounter with Warner Music, which led to the label issuing an apology after mistaking their live recordings for original artist tracks. Electric Avenue’s journey has seen them sharing stages with icons like Pat Benatar and collaborating with legends such as Lionel Richie and Paul Simon.

Whether you’re a longtime fan of 80s music or new to the genre, Electric Avenue’s high-energy performance is an experience not to be missed.
