With the 2024-25 school year underway, Firelands Federal Credit Union (Firelands FCU) has dedicated $3,000 to ensure students are ready, supporting local schools and supply collections.

This year, Firelands FCU contributed $500 to each of the following organizations:

• Bellevue — Bellevue Ministerial Association

• Bucyrus — Bucyrus United Methodist Church, Back to School Supply Carnival

• Galion — Ohio Heartland Community Action Commission

• Monroeville — Monroeville Local Schools, Teacher Mini-Grant

• Norwalk — First Presbyterian Church, Stuff the Bus

• Sandusky — Victory Temple Soup Kitchen

These donations have helped provide essential school supplies, including backpacks, notebooks, binders, and other necessities, to students in the area.

“Back-to-school season can be costly and stressful,” said Brett Montague, president and CEO of Firelands FCU. “Our goal with these annual donations is to help ease some of the financial burden. We’re grateful to the dedicated groups that make this possible and want to help support them.”
