Buckeye Central hires new football coach

Staff report

The new Buckeye Central football coach is Rob Detterman after his approval by the BC Board of Education Thursday night.

Rob most recently was an assistant coach at Tiffin Calvert.

He was selected after an extensive interview process from among more than 40 applicants. He will be meeting with the team members next week to go over his plans for the BC football program.

“Buckeye Central is pleased to have Mr. Detterman on board as our new head football coach,” the school district said in a statement.

Detterman replaces Jeff Niedermier who resigned late last year.
