Swimming: Eagles outswim Polar Bears

The Colonel Crawford swimming team defeated host Margaretta in a dual meet Monday.

The Lady Eagles won 130-48, while the Eagles won 109-61 for a total score of 239-109.

Grabbing first for the Colonel Crawford girls were Callie Ruffener (100 free, 200-yard freestyle), Chloe Grove (200 IM, 500 free), Jillianne Gregg (50 free), Megan Sharp (100 butterfly, 100 backstroke), Kennedy Speck (100 breaststroke)

The Lady Eagles won all three relays. Sharp, Speck, Gregg and Pierce Krassow won the 200 medley (2:07.04), while Gregg, Chloe Carman, Grove and Ruffener won the 200 free (1:48.32). Sharp, Krassow, Grove and Ruffener came out on top in the 400 free (4:08.68).

For the Eagles, taking first were Grant Pfeifer (100, 200 free), Jake Johnson (100 breaststroke, 200 IM), Ryan Johnson (50 free), Jacob Roesch (100 butterfly) and Nic Motter (500 free).

Colonel Crawford boys won all three relays. Motter, Ryan Johnson, Roesch and Pfeifer won the 200 medley (1:58.93), while Ryan Johnson, Alex Hershey, Motter and Jake Johnson took first in the 200 free (1:43.55). Pfiefer, Hershey, Roesch and Johnson notched the top spot in the 400 free.
