Bucyrus wrestling results

The Bucyrus wrestling team defeated Clear Fork 41-27 but lost to Shelby 40-34 Wednesday night.

The Redmen is set to host its invitational at Alex Memorial gymnasium at 10 a.m. Saturday. The wrestling event will feature teams from Ahsland, Hillsdale, Kenton, Lakota, Monroeville, North Union, Oak Harbor and Upper Sandusky.

Tickets for the invitational are $7 for adults, $5 for students and may be purchased at the door.

Trophies will be awarded to the first and second place teams, along with an MVP award. The top four finishers in each weight class will receive medals.

The Bucyrus wrestling team will also conclude its fundraiser during the invitational. Tickets are still available for a Hord Livestock donated hog that is processed by C&B Country Meats. Raffle tickets are one for $5 or five for $20, and the winner will be chosen at random prior to the start of the final round matches. Funds raised from the sale of raffle tickets will be used to purchase new singlets for the Bucyrus wrestling team.
