Boys golf: Trease, Reasner share match medal as Eagles ground Rockets

Colonel Crawford’s Noah Trease and Ridgedale’s Mitchell Reasner shared the match medal, but it was Trease’s Eagles that claimed victory in a non-conference boys golf match played Tuesday at Valley View Golf Club. The Eagles prevailed, 177-199.

Trease and Reasner each shot 40. Trease made par on five of the nine holes. Reasner had a birdie on the second hole and shot par on three other holes.

Including Trease, five Eagles finished with scores in the 40s on Tuesday. Nick Gremling shot 42. Isaak Sulser ended his round at 47. Jake Roesch and Austin Strouse each shot 48. Eli Shultz finished with a score of 54.

Ridgedale’s Mo Britton shot 46. Hannah Ferguson finished at 54. Preston Burton and Derek Lust each shot 59. Brock Williams ended with a score of 62.

The Eagles (5-2, 0-1 Northern 10) wrap up their week on Thursday with a match against Wynford at River Oaks Golf Course in Bucyrus. Match time is 4:30 p.m.
