Northmor to battle Cardington at homecoming game

HOWARD —The Cardington Pirates (3-2, 1-1) are up next for the still winless Northmor Knights. Cardington dropped their league game last week to Centerburg, 55-34. This game will be Northmor’s homecoming game.

The Knights played Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference Blue Division rival East Knox last week

East Knox took it to Northmor early, leading 14-0 by the end of the first quarter. The Knights were not able to get on track for the remainder of the game, losing, 28-6.

Northmor was strong on the defensive side of the ball despite the final score.

East Knox was only able to accumulate 138 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs were 14/16 with 78 yards through the air, with one touchdown. East Knox rushed the ball 29 times for just 60 yards on the ground, recording one touchdown as well.

Offensively for the Knights, quarterback Jordan Wiseman was 8/30 passing with 203 yards and one touchdown. However, he also threw four interceptions. Northmor also had four fumbles on the evening, losing two of them to the Bulldogs.

East Knox improved to 3-2, 1-1 in MOAC Blue play. Northmor is 0-5 and 0-2.
