Galion girls golfers fall to Jonathon Alder, North Union

GALION — The Galion Tigers girls golf team played host to two Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference opponents on Wednesday in a makeup match from earlier this season. Jonathon Alder and North Union came to town as the top two teams in the MOAC Red Division and left just the same.

Jonathon Alder beat Galion by a score of 218-244, while North Union defeated the Tigers 214-244.

Leading the way for Galion was Shae Ness and Abby Barre. Both Ness and Barre finished with a final score of 58 for the match. Brooklyn Potter shot her best round of the season on Wednesday, recording a 62. Alexis Chaplin added a 66 and Macy Eicher rounded out the Tigers scoring with a 72.

Galion will be back out at the Sycamore Creek Golf Course tonight for their last home match of the season. It is senior’s night for the girls and they will welcome the Wynford Royals to the tees.
