PLAIN CITY — It was a rough go for the Galion Tigers girls soccer team when they travelled southwest to also take on the Jonathon Alder Pioneers. Like the boys team, the girls found themselves leaving Plain City after a shutout, 17-0.

After 45 minutes, the Tigers went in to halftime with a daunting 11-0 deficit. Galion came back out and played a solid second half, giving up six goals to the Pioneers.

Coach Eric Palmer said of his teams performanace, “I think we came out after halftime and really fought hard to get back into the game.” He continued with, “I was very proud of how the girls never gave up.”

The girls also play Marion Pleasant and River Valley this week.
