Girls golf team comes up short in Bucyrus

BUCYRUS — The Galion Tigers girls golf team has seen better matches this season.

On Wednesday, they traveled to The Golf Club of Bucyrus for a non-conference showdown with Wynford Royals. At the end of the match, the Tigers loaded up for home after a season high 244 score in the loss (227-244).

Abby Barre was the medalist for Galion, shooting a 56 over the 9 hole match. Shae Ness penciled in a 60 for the day to finish second on the team. Greer Gledhill (61) and Alexis Chaplin (67) finished up the Tigers’ scoring. Also on the course for Galion was Brooklyn Potter (70) and Macy Eicher (72).
