OSU/NCSC celebrate dedication of library

By Nathan CrockInquirer CorrespondentOn April 10 Ohio State University of Mansfield and North Central State College held the Bromfield Library and Information Commons Dedication campaign and celebration. The recently renovated library is part of a $3 million project that began its planning stages back in 2009.

Kiwanis hears discusses projects and hears from Habitat for Humanity

The members will be selling tickets through this month and May for the circus that is coming town. Kiwanis is also bringing the tickets to businesses around town to sell. Compost site open this weekend

The compost site on Taylor Road will be open on Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26. Hours for the facility are 7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. The facility accepts all yard and landscape waste, such as limbs, brush, grass, weeds, leaves and Christmas trees (all decorations MUST be removed) free of charge to Galion and Polk Township residents. Chemically treated wood, such as deck material and railroad ties, will not be accepted.

Kirk earns Sea Scout Quartermaster rank

Jim Kirk, son of Steve and Rita Kirk of Worthington, recently attained the rank of Quartermaster, the highest advancement rank in the Boy Scouts of America Sea Scouting program.
