Hope is found in Christmas

By Deacon Gregory M. Kirk - St. Joseph Church, Galion

We watch.

We wait.

We listen.

For His coming.

The darkness of the world has pressed upon us.

The challenges of life have extracted their toll.

Where will new strength come from?

Who will lift our sinking spirits?

Who will breathe new life into us?

Who will revive our hearts?

A star has risen, its light points the Way.

One is coming, with promises of joy and fulfillment.

He brings gifts of hope, freedom, and peace.

Across the centuries, spanning the ages, through the darkness, His light shines.

He will make all things new.

He will be with us forever.

Until the end of time.

He is Alpha and Omega.

He is the first, and the last.

He is the beginning, and the end.

Rejoice, my people.

Share the good news.

God has humbled Himself, and once again comes among us.

Bearing light, bringing hope, breathing into us, new life.

Glory to God in the highest.

Peace to His people on earth.

Christmas is near.
