The City of Galion and Efficiency Smart have a partnership to save money and reduce power usage for Galion Electric Division customers through several energy efficiency initiatives. Efficiency Smart and the City of Galion will host customer appreciation days on Thursday, August 21 and Friday, August 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the utility offices located at 115 Harding Way E. During the event, Efficiency Smart staff will distribute five free compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs), while supplies last, as well as kits with rebate forms, program information and energy efficiency tips.
Replacing incandescent light bulbs with CFL equivalents is a simple way to save money on utility bills. CFLs use 75 percent less energy while lasting up to 10 times longer than incandescent bulbs. There are many energy-efficient products that can help consumers save money on their electric bills. Efficiency Smart offers several incentives to Galion Electric Division customers promoting these savings.
