LIMA — A Millersburg man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident Wednesday morning.
According to the Lima post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Andrew Yoder Jr., 28, of Millersburg, was driving a 2002 Ford F350 flatbed truck south on Interstate 75 just south of the Bluelick Road entrance ramp at about 8:15 a.m. when his vehicle drifted off the right side of the road for an unknown reason. The truck struck a concrete barrier, drove down an embankment striking the right-of-way fence, and a large tree before coming to a rest along a line of trees.
Yoder was trapped in the vehicle for a short time before being extricated by the Bath Township Fire Department. He was taken to Lima Memorial Health System by Bath Township EMS, where he was listed in critical condition Wednesday afternoon.
Yoder was not wearing a properly adjusted seat belt during the crash, troopers said. Alcohol was not a contributing factor.
