PHILADELPHIA — Organizers of the World’s Largest Bar Crawl today announced that “The Crawl” has partnered with two local charities, “Young Variety ─ The Children’s Charity” and the Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #5 with a portion of the event’s proceeds benefiting each charity.


“The Crawl” is a Philadelphia Bar Crawl attempting to break a Guinness World Record. Philly2Night.com and UpcomingEvents.com, two of Philadelphia’s premier online entertainment and event sources, have partnered to bring to Philadelphia the title of the official city to hold the World’s Largest Bar Crawl. Philly2Night.com and UpcomingEvents.com have also teamed up with Wild Turkey American Honey for the World’s Largest Bar Crawl which includes over 100 participating venues, 15,000 people and One Helluva Good Time.


“The Crawl” is an all day event that kicks off at 12 p.m. in various neighborhoods across Philadelphia. Several venues citywide will participate in “The Crawl” including Northern Liberties, South Street, Old City, Rittenhouse, University City, South Philly, Northeast Philly, Center City, Mid-Town Village and Fairmount.


The current Guinness World Record is held by Kansas City, MO, with 4,885 participants who visited ten of the participating pubs in an eight-hour time span, a qualification for inclusion in the official count for the Guinness record. Kansas City’s record-breaking bar crawl was comprised of 21 bars and was organized by the Crawl for Cancer LLC, on June 1st, 2013.

The mission of “Young Variety ─ The Children’s Charity” is to help children who suffer with disabilities by raising funds through various social events and by volunteering their time and services. The mission of the Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #5 is to protect, promote and improve the working conditions, legal rights, salary compensation, pension and benefits of Philadelphia police officers. It was established to provide financial and emotional assistance to the family members of Philadelphia police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.
