Applications are now being accepted for the 2014-2015 Crawford Unlimited Leadership (CU Lead) program. A unique, nine-month, community-based leadership development, and community awareness program, CU Lead strengthens and develops leaders who enhance the quality of life in the community and the workplace.
“We believe that if we can make a Crawford County an attractive place to live, work and do businesses, that’s not only good for the community; it’s good for business too,” said Paul Johnson of Crawford: 20/20 Vision, the CU Lead program facilitator. “We’ve found, and research has proven, that giving back to the community can help build loyalty, increase visibility and make a positive impact on an organization’s bottom line.”
Underwritten by Ohio Mutual Insurance Group, in partnership with Crawford: 20/20 Vision, CU Lead is a unique, 9-month, community-based leadership program. CU Leaders graduate with stronger leadership skills, and a stronger sense of how those skills apply to their roles at home, at work, and as community members. For example, they will learn and experience the four competencies of community leadership: framing ideas, building and using social capital, mobilizing resources and community engagement.
Classes start September 19 and application materials are due Aug. 1!
