ASHLAND COUNTY

US Route 42

US 42, at its bridge over State Route 96/US Route 250 (East Main Street) in the City of Ashland, is closed as part of an intersection improvement project. The detour route for truck traffic is US 42 to US Route 30, east on US 30 to Interstate 71, north on I-71 to US Route 250, west on US 250 to US 42, and reverse for southbound motorists. The project will be complete in November 2015.

State Route 89

SR 89, between County Road 2000 and State Route 95, is closed for the replacement of six culverts. The detour route for northbound motorists is SR 89 to SR 95, west on SR 95 to State Route 179, north on SR 179 to State Route 60, north on SR 60 to US Route 30, east on US 30 to SR 89, and reverse for southbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen July 17, 2015.

State Route 89

SR 89, at its bridge over Interstate 71 in Perry Township, is closed for a bridge replacement project. The detour route for southbound motorists is SR 89 to US Route 42, south on US 42 to US Route 250, east on US 250 to SR 89, and reverse for northbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen on June 30, 2015.

State Route 511

SR 511, between the Lorain County line and the City of Ashland, is reduced to one lane of traffic as part of a resurfacing project. One lane of two-way traffic will be maintained with flaggers at all times. The project will be complete in September 2015.

State Route 511

SR 511, one-quarter-mile north of Township Road 1104 in Orange Township, is closed for bridge repairs prior to an upcoming resurfacing project. The detour route for northbound motorists is SR 511 to US Route 250, east on US 250 to State Route 58, north on SR 58 to State Route 302, west on SR 302 to SR 511, and reverse for southbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen June 29, 2015.

CRAWFORD COUNTY

State Route 98 – ***NEW***

SR 98, between Dickson Road and State Route 61 in Richland County, will be reduced to one lane of traffic beginning Wednesday, June 24 as part of a resurfacing project. One lane of two-way traffic will be maintained at all times with flaggers. The project is expected to be complete by September 30, 2015.

ERIE COUNTY

US Route 6 – ***UPDATE***

US 6, between the City of Sandusky and the City of Huron, is restricted to one lane of two-way traffic as part of a resurfacing project. Beginning Monday, June 22, the contractor will begin paving operations during the night hours of 6pm to 6am and work at the Rye Beach Road interchange. One lane of traffic will be maintained at all times with flaggers or local law enforcement. The project will be complete by June 30, 2015.

US 250 & Perkins Avenue

US 250 south/eastbound is reduced to one lane of traffic at its intersection with Perkins Avenue in the City of Sandusky as part an intersection improvement project. Perkins Avenue traffic also has lane restrictions for utility work. The project is expected to be complete in October 2015.

US Route 250

US 250, between the Outback Steakhouse and Perkins Avenue, is reduced to one northbound lane of traffic at night to begin repairing curbs, driveways and drainage. Crews began work on the corridor improvement project between Bogart Road and Sycamore Line Road. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained at all times during daytime hours, and the majority of work will take place from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. following morning. The project carries a completion date of September 2016.

Risden Road – ***UPDATE***

Risden Road, at its bridge over State Route 2 in Berlin Township, is closed as part of a bridge repair project. The detour route for northbound motorists is Risden Road to Stanley Road, west on Stanley Road to Barnes Road, north on Barnes Road to US Route 6, east on US 6 to Risden Road, and reverse for southbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen on June 30, 2015.

HURON COUNTY

State Route 60

SR 60, between the village of New London and State Route 18, is restricted to one lane of traffic as part of a smooth seal pavement project. One lane of two-way traffic will be maintained at all times in each direction. The work is expected to be complete in July 2015.

LORAIN COUNTY

State Route 2 – ***NEW***

SR 2, between the Erie County line and Baumhart Road, will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction as part of a resurfacing project beginning Monday, June 22. One lane of traffic will be maintained at all times from 7am to 7pm. Two lanes will be maintained after 7pm, and the project is expected to be complete in July 2015.

State Route 2

SR 2, between the Ohio Turnpike/Interstate 90 split and Middle Ridge Road, is reduced to narrowed lanes of traffic for a major bridge rehabilitation project. Two lanes of westbound traffic are maintained using a contraflow traffic pattern where one lane for local traffic is maintained on the westbound side. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained at all times in both directions. Motorists are encouraged to use extreme caution while navigating this work zone and watch for slower moving traffic as it merges in to an open lane. The project is expected to be complete in October 2016.

State Route 57

SR 57, between the Ohio Turnpike and Schadden Road in the City of Elyria, is restricted to two narrowed lanes of traffic in each direction for work as part of a major reconstruction project. Access to Midway Boulevard from SR 57 is prohibited at this time for work to construct the at-grade intersection; however, detours are posted. The project is expected to be complete in August 2016.

State Route 58

SR 58, just north of State Route 18 in the village of Wellington, is shifted as work progresses in to the next phase of construction for the railroad grade underpass project. One 12-foot lane is maintained in each direction at all times. All parking will be eliminated north of SR 18 as well. The project is expected to be complete in October 2015.

State Route 162

SR 162, between Clark Road and State Route 58 in Huntington Township, is closed for the replacement of a culvert. The detour route for eastbound motorists is SR 162 to State Route 511, north on SR 511 to State Route 18, east on SR 18 to State Route 58, south on SR 58 to SR 162, and reverse for westbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen July 8, 2015.

State Route 254

SR 254, at its intersection with State Route 57 in Sheffield Township, is closed as part of an intersection improvement project. The detour route for eastbound motorists is SR 254 to SR 57, south on SR 57 to Interstate 90, east on I-90 to SR 254, and reverse for westbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen in mid-August, 2015.

State Route 301 – ***NEW***

SR 301, just south of Whitney Road, will close Monday, June 22 for a culvert repair. The detour route for northbound motorists is SR 301 to State Route 18, east on SR 18 to State Route 83, north on SR 83 to State Route 303, west on SR 303 to SR 301, and reverse for southbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen June 26, 2015.

State Route 303

SR 303, from the Huron/Lorain County line to the village of LaGrange, is reduced to one lane of traffic as part of a preventive maintenance chip seal project. One lane of two-way traffic will be maintained with flaggers at all times. The project is expected to be complete by June 30, 2015.

French Creek Road

French Creek Road, over Interstate 90 in the village of Sheffield, is closed for a bridge replacement project. The detour route for westbound motorists is French Creek Rd to State Route 254, west on SR 254 to State Route 301, north on SR 301 to French Creek Rd, and reverse for eastbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen October 3, 2015.

Taylor Street

Taylor Street, at its intersection with State Route 58 in the village of Wellington, is closed for work as part of the SR 58 railroad grade separation project. Detour will be posted. The road is expected to reopen in September 2015.

MEDINA COUNTY

State Route 57/State Route 252/Spieth Road

The intersection of State Route 57, State Route 252 and Spieth Road in York Township, is closed to improve the intersection and construct a roundabout. The detour route for SR 57 motorists will be SR 57 to State Route 18, west on SR 18 to State Route 83, north on SR 83 to SR 57, and reverse for southbound motorists. The detour route for SR 252 motorists will be SR 252/Columbia Road to SR 18, west on SR 18 to SR 83, north on SR 83 to State Route 303, east on SR 303 to SR 252, and reverse for southbound motorists. The detour route for Spieth Road motorists will be Spieth Road to Lester Road, south on Lester Rd to SR 18, east on SR 18, which becomes Fenn Road to Abbeyville Road, north on Abbeyville Rd to Spieth Rd, and reverse for westbound motorists. The work is expected to be complete in mid-August 2015.

Interstate 71/Interstate 76 Ramp – ***NEW***

The Interstate 76 westbound to Interstate 71 southbound exit ramp will be closed Tuesday, June 23 from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for pavement work. Traffic using that exit will need to continue west on I-76 and make a U-turn at Lake Road to enter I-71 south. Once this work is complete, ODOT will begin pavement work on the ramp from I-71 northbound to Interstate 76 eastbound; however, all traffic will be maintained on that ramp. All work is weather dependent.

State Route 94

SR 94, from State Route 18 to State Route 3, is reduced to one lane of traffic as part of a resurfacing project. One lane of two-way traffic will be maintained at all times with flaggers. The project will be complete by October 2015.

State Route 57 – ***NEW***

SR 57, between the City of Medina and City of Wadsworth, is reduced to one lane of traffic as part of a resurfacing project. One lane of two-way traffic is maintained with flaggers at all times. The project is expected to be complete by September 30, 2015.

State Route 94

SR 94, from State Route 303 to the Cuyahoga/Medina County line, is restricted to one lane of traffic as part of a resurfacing project. One lane of two-way traffic is maintained with flaggers at all times. The project is expected to be complete by September 30, 2015.

State Route 301

SR 301, from the Wayne/Medina County line to the village of Spencer, is reduced to one lane of traffic as part of a resurfacing project. One lane of two-way traffic is maintained with flaggers at all times. The project is expected to be complete in August 2015.

State Route 303

SR 303, between the Lorain County line and the City of Brunswick, is reduced to one lane of traffic as part of a resurfacing project. One lane of two-way traffic is maintained by flaggers. The project also includes a portion of State Route 94, from the Cuyahoga County line to State Route 303. The project is expected to be complete by September 30, 2015.

Smith Road

Smith Road (County Road 4), between State Route 83 and County Road 134, is closed for a bridge replacement project. The detour route for westbound motorists is Smith Road to SR 83, south on SR 83 to Spencer Lake Road, west on Spencer Lake Road to Root Road, north on Root Road, and reverse for eastbound motorists. The road will reopen July 10, 2015.

RICHLAND COUNTY

State Route 95

SR 95, between the village of Butler and the Ashland County line, is reduced to one lane of traffic as part of a resurfacing project. One lane of two-way traffic will be maintained with flaggers at all times. The project is expected to be complete in July 2015.

WAYNE COUNTY

State Route 3 – ***NEW***

SR 3, at two locations between Funk Road and Snoddy Road in Clinton Township, will close Wednesday, June 24 as part of a slide repair project. The detour route for southbound motorists is SR 3 to State Route 95, west on SR 95 to State Route 179, south on SR 179 to SR 3, and reverse for northbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen on September 22, 2015.

State Route 3

SR 3, between Myers Street and Sterling Road, has intermittent shoulder and lane closures for work as part of a Safe Routes to School project. The project will install sidewalks along SR 3, Myers Street, Carol Drive, Coulter Street, and Darla Drive. One lane of traffic will be maintained at all times with flaggers in each direction. The project is expected to be complete by June 30.

US Route 30 – ***NEW***

US 30 in the City of Wooster (between Columbus Avenue and US Route 250) will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction for pavement repair work beginning Monday, June 22. One lane will be maintained at all times and the work is expected to be complete by July 4, 2015.

State Route 57

SR 57, between Milton Road and Sheets Road in the City of Rittman, is reduced to one lane of traffic for bridge work. Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times with a temporary traffic signal. The work is expected to be complete on July 31, 2015.

State Route 585

SR 585, between Honeytown Road and Geyers Chapel Road, is closed as part of an improvement project. The project will realign approximately one mile of SR 585, and improve the intersections of Thompson Road and Geyers Chapel Road. The detour route for southbound motorists is SR 585 to State Route 57, south on SR 57 to US Route 30, west on US 30 to State Route 3/State Route 83, north on SR 3/SR 83 to SR 585, and reverse for northbound motorists. The work is expected to be complete in September 2015.

Geyers Chapel Road

Geyers Chapel Road, north of SR 585 in Wayne Township, is closed to improve the alignment of its intersection with SR 585. The detour for this closure is Geyers Chapel Road to Smithville Western Road to SR 585 and reverse for northbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen in late September 2015.
