Bucyrus toppled Galion 73-29 last Saturday at the high school in a Northern Ohio girls’ varsity basketball tilt.

The Lady Tigers lost for the ninth time in 10 games and averaged a turnover a minute against the Lady Red. They are 1-4 in the NCC.

The locals struggled in all aspects of the game. They were only 9-for-32 on two-point tries (28%), 2-of-10 on three-pointers (20%), garnered 5-of-8 free throw shots (63%), grabbed just 15 rebounds and committed 32 turnovers.

Scoring for them were: Taylor Valentine, 8 points; Ramonda Dorsey, 7; Kayal LaForest, 5; Robin Barnes, 4; Raven Crawford, 4; and Sydney Dameron, 1.

A trio of Lady Red reached twin figures in scoring. Hannah Wyeth scored a game-high 22 points. Kelci Simms added 19 and Macey Sheerer, 17.
