Lowe-Volk Park hosted its annual Rock N Fossil Day Jan. 18. The nature center enjoyed a continual flow of interested visitors, buying and trading, sharing and learning the vast information available.

Gay and Kay Abrams have been collecting, cutting and polishing collectable rocks and gems for 48 years. They are members of the Gem Club in Mansfield.


Visitors were treated to a performance by the local birds of Lowe-Volk Park.


Demonstrations of rock cutting and other gem-related subjects were available at the Rock N Fossil event.
