New Chromebooks to start the school year at Buckeye

Buckeye Central recently purchased 125 Chromebooks for student use. These laptop computers, which run on the Chrome operating system, are primarily used while connected to the internet, as most everything is “in the cloud”. Signature Healthcare announces school supplies donation drive

Signature Healthcare of Galion is seeking donations of school supplies from the community. It will be accepting donations now through Aug. 3 at its facility, located at 935 Rosewood Drive. Demo of Crawford buildings to be done this year

The Colonel Crawford Board of Education held a special meeting on July 14 to approve the abatement and demolition packages for the former elementary and middle school buildings.The projects will be advertised for bid later this month, and at the August board meeting contracts will be awarded. A total of 14 retiring teachers and staff members were recognized by the Galion Board of Education last week. Each of them worked in education for at least 20 years.
