BUCYRUS—There is a wonderful after-school program offered in the Bucyrus area called King’s Kids. It is free and open to any first or second grader whether they are home-schooled or attend any of the elementary schools in Crawford County. King’s Kids is held each Wednesday afternoon from 2:20- 3:45 p.m. during the school year.
Children meet in the basement of the Bucyrus United Methodist Outreach Center (formally the Epworth church building) located at 216 Hopley Ave., Bucyrus, where they hear a Bible lesson, sing songs, eat a snack and do other various games and activities that pertain to the day’s lesson. The curriculum is nondenominational and is taught by Miss Becky Guinther.
King’s Kids is now in its second year of operation and welcomes more students into the program. A testimonial from Aeron, one of the King’s Kids says, “I learned about God and to trust in God and He can be your Savior.”
The program is sponsored by Church Association of Bible Instruction (CABI), made up of people from numerous Bucyrus-area churches.
To enroll a child, or for more information, please contact Miss Becky Guinther at 419-562-5061, or e-mail CABI at CABI@bucyrusmc.com for more information.
