“…It is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace.” Hebrews 13:9, ESV
I love the message of grace—don’t you? I will never get over it! Maybe it was because I was raised in such a spiritually legalistic environment, and I know what it’s like to be under the law and with its guilt. I’ve never struggled with the idea that I am perfect, I just can’t get over the fact that God would save me by His grace.
“…It is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace.” Could it be that your heart problem is that you really don’t know the grace of God? So often, people who are struggling with the concept of God’s love and His acceptance just don’t understand God’s grace.
Or maybe you’re struggling with some big sin issues in your life. Victory only begins to occur when you really get the concept of God’s grace, acceptance and love. When you get a hold of that, your life will be transformed by God’s grace. Your heart is going to be strengthened by grace.
Psalm 133, verses 1-3, “How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony! For harmony is as precious as the anointing oil that was poured over Aaron’s head, that ran down his beard and onto the border of his robe. Harmony is as refreshing as the dew from Mount Hermon that falls on the mountains of Zion. And there the LORD has pronounced his blessing, even life everlasting.”
Proverbs 13, verses 3-6, “Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything. Lazy people want much but get little, but those who work hard will prosper. The godly hate lies; the wicked cause shame and disgrace. Godliness guards the path of the blameless, but the evil are misled by sin.”
