MANSFIELD—The Mansfield/Richland County Convention & Visitors Bureau, along with the City of Mansfield, once again invites local businesses to get noticed by approximately 10,000+ visitors to the area for the return of Tough Mudder Ohio, a 10-12 miles obstacle course event taking place at Mansfield Lahm Airport on May 17 & 18, 2014.

“Let’s get the Tough Mudder participants out into the community by letting them know what’s here”, said CVB President, Lee Tasseff”. “Last year, Mudders ate their way through many of the MUD DEALS offered. The CVB had a booth on-site at the event and handed out thousands of MUD DEALS to participants and spectators.”

If your restaurant, retail store or business wants to offer a deal or discount to Tough Mudder participants or you already have something cool planned at your place during the event weekend (May 16-18, 2014), tell the CVB. A complete set of offers will be compiled at the CVB office and an electronic version will be sent by Tough Mudder staff to each event participant two weeks before the event. The list will also appear on MansfieldTourism.com and its mobile site. This is the official way to communicate with the estimated 10,000 weekend attendees.

The deadline to submit an offer is March 31. Contact Kim Miers at the CVB office at 419-525-1300, ext. 26 or email kmiers@MansfieldTourism.com and put Mud Deal in the subject line to obtain a form to fill out about your offer. THERE IS NO CHARGE TO SUBMIT AN OFFER. “We just encourage businesses to offer something of value to visitors. Offering a free soft drink might not drive traffic to your business, but a free order of hot wings might,” said Kim Miers, CVB Marketing/Meetings Director. “The goal is the help visitors enjoy their stay during Tough Mudder Ohio and to expose them to all the amazing area hospitality, attractions, restaurants, stores that may even bring them back during other times in the year. Many of them found great spots to shop and dine last year, so let’s give them even more to experience this year,” Miers encouraged.
