Warpole Chapter No. 366 OES meeting notes – March

The 102nd Annual Inspection of Officers was held at Warpole Chapter #366 OES, Thursday, March 3, 2016, Masonic Center, Upper Sandusky, with Worthy Grand Matron, Evelyn Hardesty as inspecting Officer. Worthy Matron, Roberta Ekleberry, welcomed forty members and forty three visitors with a poem, “No Place Like Home”.

Presentations included Worthy Grand Matron, Evelyn Hardesty; Past Grand Patron, Ron Keller; Associate Grand Conductress, Kelly Cholodewitsch; Grand Organist, Diane Kracker; Deputy Grand Matrons of District 5, Susan Parks; District 7, Bonnie Chapman; and District 10, Marla Barber; Grand Representatives of other Grand Jurisdictions in Ohio representing: Connecticut – Sharon Riffel; Oklahoma – Ruth Augestine; Oregon – Darcie Miller; Texas – Susan Corwin and Wyoming – Dottie Prosutto; 5 Worthy Matrons and 3 Worthy Patrons of other chapters; 25 Past Matrons and 6 Past Patrons of Warpole Chapter; Thomas Zeigler – Knight of the York Cross of Honour; Larry Miller, Illustrious Master of Upper Sandusky Council; ten – 50 year members; District 10 Association Officers – President – Gail Adams; Vice President – Darla Hudson; Secretary – Janet Teschler; Ohio Eastern Star Home Trustee – Patricia Eyestone; District 10 Charities Director – Sylvia Webb; 4 Grand Pages and 4 Grand Aides to the next grand session; and 30 former grand appointments.

The Worthy Grand Matron, and her husband, Ron Hardesty were both presented honorary memberships by Marla Barber and Dick Eyestone.

Worthy Patron, Steve Ekleberry conducted the flag ceremony and led the ceremony of initiation of three new members into the Order. Welcomed were Amanda Rowlinson, Rachel Weaver, and Jonathan Weaver.

Announcements of events coming up were the District Mystery Dinner on April 10 and the annual Pancake Breakfast on April 16 at the Masonic Temple. Tickets are available for both.

Remarks and the inspection report were given by the Worthy Grand Matron who spoke about the interesting history of Upper Sandusky and Wyandot County. She gave a most favorable report on the chapter for all they do in the community, and for being very active for the good of the Order, which makes the essential pieces of her puzzle of teamwork complete.

Our next regular meeting will be Thursday, April 7th at 7:30 pm. which will be a Friendship night with Ruth Chapter, Mansfield and the station of the Secretary will be honored.

After the chapter closed in ritualistic form, all were invited to the dining room for refreshments and fellowship provided by Barbara Beidelschies and Mary Lou Weaver.
