Ohio Representative Jim Jordan recently paid a visit to the DaVita Kidney Care in Galion, a division of DaVita HealthCare Partners Inc. and a leading provider of kidney care services. Jordan met with patients, caregivers and to better understand the kidney care needs of local residents.

Today, there are over 31 million American adults who are living with chronic kidney disease (CKD), which, untreated, can ultimately progress to kidney failure. Currently, more than 600,000 Americans suffer from end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and approximately 430,000 are on dialysis. An overwhelming majority of people with ESRD on dialysis rely on Medicare’s ESRD benefit.

DaVita Kidney Care invited Jordan to tour the dialysis center, meet patients and teammates and learn more about kidney disease.

“I thank the health care team at DaVita for providing a valuable service to those coping with ESRD in our community. It was my pleasure to talk with patients, nurses and administrators and hear how critical patient access to high-quality care can be,” Jordan said.

DaVita Galion Dialysis serves Crawford County. For more information, call 419-462-0897 or visit the center at 865 Harding Way West, Galion.
