Two Colonel Crawford students awarded student of the month

The Colonel Crawford Lions Club Student of the Month for February is Brandon Long. He is a senior and the son of Tim and Sandy Long. Brandon is a four-year Varsity letter winner in cross country where he has earned First Team N10, All-County All-Star Cross Country team and was a regional qualifier. He has also earned two letters in track and was a regional qualifier.

Mr. Long’s school organization participation includes Project B.L.A.C.K., FCCLA, Leo Club and Student Council. He has earned the Project B.L.A.C.K. Kindness Award. Brandon is a school mentor and participated in the school play.

As a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Bucyrus, Brandon has helped with Vacation Bible School for five years. He plans to attend Bluffton University and will major in Business and Marketing. He will also run cross country and track there.

Megan Sharp, daughter of John and Ruth Sharp, is the March C.C. Student of the Month. She participates in Leo Club, Project B.L.A.C.K., and Student Council. Megan is a member of both cross Country and track teams.

Miss Sharp works as a lifeguard at the Bucyrus Y.M.C.A. She also attends the Bucyrus Nazarene Church where she helps with the children’s programs. Megan plans to attend Marion Technical School to major in Nursing.

Both students and their parents were guests of the Colonel Crawford Lions at their March dinner meeting. The honorees received a commemorative certificate and a check for fifty dollars.
