Bucyrus man injured in one-vehicle crash

A Bucyrus man was injured in a one-vehicle crash on Tuesday that occurred at Nevada-Wynford and Bethel Roads at 9:48 a.m.

According to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Clyde McCleese Jr., 49, was traveling westbound on Nevada-Wynford Road when he lost control of the Ford Pickup truck he was driving. The vehicle went off the right side of the roadway into the ditch, then overturned and struck a utility pole. The truck ended up on its top in a field on the northeast corner of Nevada-Wynford and Bethel Road.

McCleese was taken to Bucyrus Community Hospital by Life Support Team Ambulance Service.

Along with sheriff’s deputies, Holmes and Bucyrus Townships and the Bucyrus City Fire Department assisted at the scene.

The truck was towed from the crash site by Knecht’s Auto Recycling.
