Feb. 11

7:07am Officers investigated a car/deer collision in the 1100 block of Nevada Road.

7:53am Officers assisted with a vehicle lock-out in the 1300 block of Rosedale Avenue.

8:12am A door to a residence that had been left open was secured.

10:47am A domestic dispute in the 1700 block of Whetstone Street was investigated.

12:19pm Officers assisted Children Services in the 1700 block of Marion Road.

12:26pm A domestic dispute in the 1300 block of Whetstone St. was investigated.

12:47pm A Tiffin Street resident reported a theft from his property.

12:50pm Officers investigated a child endangering complaint. Brandon Blevins, 30, was arrested in the 500 block of South Sandusky Avenue on a Crawford County Warrant. He was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center.

1:39pm Officers investigated a dispute on Willard Street over the use of a barn. The matter was forwarded to the service department regarding illegal dumping.

2:13pm An employee at TJ’s Auto reported a vehicle not returned after allowing someone to test drive it. The driver was located and issued a citation for driving under suspension. The vehicle was returned to TJ’s Auto.

3:04pm A Marion resident reported having her property stolen by someone she knows while in the area of Bucyrus Community Hospital today.

3:58pm Officers assisted a motorist locked out of her vehicle at Bucyrus Plaza.

4:02pm A resident in the 1200 block of Monnett Street reported the theft of money from his residence.

4:16pm A report of a suspicious male observed in a near the corner of Charles and South Sandusky Avenue behaving in a lewd and lascivious manner was investigated. The car drove south from the area and was described as an older light brown Buick or Pontiac sedan. The individual was described as a white male wearing a ball cap with long hair in a ponytail. The vehicle was not located.

4:21pm Officers assisted a motorist locked out of his vehicle at Bucyrus Community Hospital.

4:25pm Officers assisted another motorist locked out of his vehicle at Bucyrus Community Hospital.

4:30pm Officers checked the area of Marion Road after receiving a call about an erratic semi-truck coming into town on Ohio 4. The truck was located and not driving erratically.

5:22pm Two income tax summons were served at the police department.

5:49pm Officers assisted Crawford County Sheriff Office attempt to locate a possibly suicidal male. During the investigation, the involved man was arrested. He was issued a summons for drug possession and was transported to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for possible further charges and counseling assistance.

6:08pm One income tax summons was served at the police department.

6:10pm Officers investigated multiple 9-1-1 hang up calls from the area of Bucyrus Plaza. The caller was located and it was determined to be a problem with her phone. There was no emergency.

8:11pm Officers investigated a dispute in the 200 block of Penn Avenue. Richard Eldridge, 48, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct by intoxication. He was issued a minor misdemeanor citation and transported to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held until sober.

8:16pm A disturbance in the 500 block of Failor Street was investigated.

8:42pm Officers investigated a breaking and entering at Doc’s Vape Shop, located in the Whetstone Plaza at the corner of East Mansfield and Whetstone Streets. Two 17-year-old males were tracked down and arrested for breaking and entering and fleeing and eluding. Stolen property was recovered at two different locations and the suspects were taken to the Marion Juvenile Detention Center to be held until an appearance in Crawford County Juvenile Court.

9:40pm A disturbance in the 800 block of South Sandusky Avenue was investigated.

11:30pm A report of a suspicious male in the 900 block of Maple Street was a neighborhood issue.

Feb. 12

3:29am A report of a vehicle with the lights on and unattended in the 500 block of West Mansfield Street was a mechanical issue with the vehicle.

5:27am A traffic warning was given in the 500 block of South Sandusky Avenue.

5:57am Officers responded to a crash in the area of West Mansfield Street and Poplar Street. A car rear ended a semi-tractor trailer. No injuries reported, the car was disabled and towed from the scene. The driver of the car was issued a citation.

6:15am Officers investigated a hang up 9-1-1 call in the 800 block of East Rensselaer Street.

6:29am Officers assisted a motorist locked out of her vehicle at IB Tech.
