BBB Center for Character Ethics announces new Millennial Entrepreneur Award

Better Business Bureau (BBB) and its Center for Character Ethics is announcing a new award component of BBB’s Torch Awards for Ethics® for millennial entrepreneurs. The Spark Awards is a BBB award in partnership with BBB Center for Character Ethics and CivicHacks, a business whose mission is to help other entrepreneurs balance profit with purpose.

“We asked millennial entrepreneur David All with CivicHacks to join us at The Torch Awards for Ethics and share what aspects of the event resonated with him and his organization,” said Kip Morse, CEO of BBB serving Central Ohio. “Character, culture, and community were the top facets that stood out to him. It made perfect sense to carve out a recognition program for these enterprise categories.”

Entries for the 2016 Spark Awards are now being accepted. The Spark Awards will involve three key categories that best represent the balance needed for successful startups: character, culture, and community. For award criteria, to submit an entry or to nominate a company, visit bbbsparkaward.com.

On April 6, the Spark Awards will be presented at CivicHacks’ Startup Storytellers event. The recipients of the inaugural Spark Awards will be announced at the event. Recipients will also be honored at the 2016 Torch Awards for Ethics event in the fall.
