Columbus hotel owner offers free room nights for police attending funeral of fallen Danville officer

Innvite Hospitality is offering complimentary room nights for any police officer traveling in to attend Danville Police Officer Thomas Cottrell’s funeral.

“We were all heartbroken to hear the sad news of Officer Cottrell’s death in the line of duty. When a police officer is killed it affects an entire community. We want to show our solidarity and support for those officers that protect us every single day,” Innvite Hospitality owner Andy Vasani said.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Newark campus of Ohio State University and Central Ohio Technical College, 1179 University Drive, Newark.
