Todd James, Executive Director of the American Red Cross North Central Ohio Chapter is joining the ongoing Red Cross water emergency relief efforts in Flint, Mich,

James will be serving as the Manager of Public Affairs, overseeing the public affairs team’s work distributing information on Red Cross relief services to residents and local media. This is James’ second deployment to Flint. He traveled there on Jan.8-9 to help establish the Red Cross’ operational response.

Water response teams comprised of American Red Cross volunteers, city, county and state personnel and community volunteers are distributing water and water resources to residents of the city. Water resources sites have also been set up at fire stations in Flint where residents can pick up the resources.

The following resources have been distributed to residents, both at the water resource sites and by water response teams:

* More than 77,700 cases of water

* More than 69,700 water filters

* More than 16,600 water testing kits

The North Central Ohio Chapter, where James serves, includes Hancock, Marion, Crawford, Hardin, Morrow, Seneca, Wyandot and Union Counties.
