New Year’s polar bear dip benefits charities


Participants in the New Year’s Day polar dip at Charles Mill Lake raised over $7,500 for the American Cancer Society and the LISA Fund for colorectal cancer research.

Sheila Schrack, one of the event organizers, said 160 people took part in the event.
