Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War report – December

The Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Tent 91 Galion, met for its regular meeting Dec. 1, at the home of Lois Rinehart. Preceding the meeting a delicious potluck dinner was enjoyed by all attending. Janice Cass served as hostess.

The business meeting was conducted by president, Cathy Brown. It was reported that the two stones to be reset at the Fairview Cemetery have been completed. It was also reported that the Wreath’s Across America order had been placed. Everyone donated the $5.00 for gift exchange to this project.

Service pins for 50 years of membership were presented to Lois Rinehart and Janice Cass.

Membership dues will be due at the meeting in January. Annual reports will be completed at this meeting as well.

President, Cathy Brown, presented each member with a gift for Christmas. Mystery gift was won by Janice Cass. She shared the gifts with those in attendance.

Next meeting will be held Jan. 5 at the home of Lois Rinehart. Cathy Brown will serve as hostess.
