Gill House Yard Sale Aug. 30


On Saturday, August 30 from 8:00 a.m. to noon, there will be a large yard sale on the lawn of the Gill House and also inside. Wide variety of items. House tours also available. The Gill House is located at 342 Harding Way West.


God’s Little Acre Aug. 30


God’s Little Acre — Galion’s oldest Farmer’s Market — will be held every Saturday through September 27, from 9 a.m. - noon. It is in the parking lot of First Presbyterian Church (corner of South Market Street and Atwood Street). Fresh produce, baked goods, jams and jellies and more, all at great prices. Free Oil Changes Aug. 30


Galion Free Methodist Church is providing free oil changes to single mothers on Saturday, Aug. 30, from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Those interested should call ahead to schedule an appointment. The church’s number is 419-468-9648 and it is located at 683 Portland Way North.


Summer Gospel Concert Aug. 30

Family Music Fest Aug. 30


The First United Methodist Church in Crestline, 202 N. Thoman St, is hosting a free Family Music Fest, August 30, 5:30pm. The music fest features the Stovers, The Jimmy Warner Band, Luke Rietschlin and Pastor Becky Weamer and husband Joe Clark. There will be activities for kids such as games and crafts, hot dogs, popcorn and more. Bring a lawn chair or blanket!


Viewing the Night Sky Aug. 30


Join members of the Richland Astronomical Society and CPD volunteers on Aug. 30 at 9:30 p.m., at Lowe-Volk Park, as they look at Comet Jacques. Discovered only in March of this year, Comet Jacques was predicted to be one of the brighter comets of 2014. It is a spectacular universe! Bring your own telescope or allow the volunteers to assist you with those provided.c

Fun Center Chordsmen Aug. 31


ONTARIO — The Ontario United Methodist Church will host the Fun Center Chordsmen on Sunday, August 31. The entertaining and famous singers will be a part of the Sunday morning worship which begins at 10:15. Our church is located in Ontario at 3540 PAW. 2014 Hawkins Corner Car Show Aug. 31


ONTARIO — The 2014 Hawkins Corner Car Show is Sunday, Aug. 31. Registration is from 2-4:30 p.m. Dash plaques to first 150 entries, awards, 50/50 drawings and more.
