Two new restaurants will open their doors in Bucyrus in June.

Mayor Jeff Reser announced during the Bucyrus City Council meeting Tuesday evening that a new Tim Horton’s and Donatos combination restaurant will be constructed across the street from Bucyrus City Hall in a vacant lot.

Reser said the deal has been signed and ground will be broken to kick off the construction in early 2016.

Opinions on social media by local residents have been varied with some being excited about the chain restaurants coming to town and others concerned about the effect on local eateries.
