ASHLAND COUNTY

State Route 96/East Main Street – ***UPDATE***

East Main Street, just west of US Route 42 in the City of Ashland, has lane restrictions as work continues on the north side of the roadway. The week of Monday, November 16, motorists should expect delays around the intersection area as crews begin final paving operations. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction. The project is expected to be complete November 30, 2015.

State Route 58 – ***NEW***

SR 58, just north of US Route 224, will close Wednesday, November 18 for railroad crossing repair. The detour route for northbound motorists is SR 58 to US 224, east on US 224 to SR 301, north on SR 301 to SR 162, west on SR 162 to SR 58, and reverse for southbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen November 20, 2015.

State Route 511 – ***NEW***

SR 511, just north of US Route 224, will close Monday, November 16 for railroad crossing repairs. The detour route for northbound motorists is SR 511 to US 224, east on US 224 to State Route 58, north on SR 58 to State Route 162, west on SR 162 to SR 511, and reverse for southbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen Wednesday, November 18, 2015.

ERIE COUNTY

State Route 2

SR 2, between State Route 60 and State Route 61, is reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction for bridge repair work at several locations. One lane of traffic will be maintained at all times in each direction. The project will be complete in September 2016; however, there will be no work over the winter months.

US Route 250 & Perkins Avenue

The intersection of US 250 and Perkins Avenue has lane restrictions when necessary as work continues with paving, sidewalks, traffic signal items and other miscellaneous work. The project is expected to be complete in late November 2015.

US Route 250

US 250, has intermittent lane restrictions for excavation work as part of a corridor improvement project between Bogart Road and Sycamore Line Road. Crews are working in various areas along the route, and specific project work can be found online at transportation.ohio.gov/250. The project carries a completion date of September 2016.

HURON COUNTY

State Route 13 – ***NEW***

SR 13, between Alpha Road and US Route 224, will close Monday, November 16 for railroad crossing reconstruction. The detour route for northbound motorists is SR 13 to US 224, east on US 224 to US Route 250, west on US 250 to SR 13, and reverse for southbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen November 21, 2015.

State Route 547

SR 547, just west of the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad Crossing in the village of Monroeville, is closed for a sewer project. The detour route is SR 547 to State Route 4, north on SR 4 to US Route 20, east on US 20 to State Route 99, south on SR 99 to SR 547, and reverse for westbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen at the end of November.

LORAIN COUNTY

State Route 2

SR 2, between the Ohio Turnpike/Interstate 90 split and Middle Ridge Road, is reduced to narrowed lanes of traffic for a major bridge rehabilitation project. Two lanes of westbound traffic are maintained using a contraflow traffic pattern where one lane for local traffic is maintained on the westbound side. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained at all times in both directions. Motorists are encouraged to use extreme caution while navigating this work zone and watch for slower moving traffic as it merges in to an open lane. The project is expected to be complete in October 2016.

State Route 57

SR 57, between the Ohio Turnpike and Schadden Road in the City of Elyria, is restricted to two narrowed lanes of traffic in each direction for work as part of a major reconstruction project. Motorists are advised to use extreme caution in this area and watch for slower moving traffic as it travels through the work zone. The project is expected to be complete in August 2016.

State Route 58 – ***UDPATE***

SR 58, just north of State Route 18 in the village of Wellington, is closed for new roadway alignment tie-in work as part of the railroad grade separation project. The detour route is SR 58 to SR 18, west on SR 18 to State Route 511, north on SR 511 to US Route 20, east on US 20 to SR 58, and reverse for southbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen November 25, 2015.

State Route 252 – ***UDPATE***

SR 252, just south of State Route 82, is closed for a slide repair project. The detour route for southbound motorists is SR 252 to State Route 82, west on SR 82 to State Route 83, south on SR 83 to State Route 303, east on SR 303 to SR 252, and reverse for northbound motorists. With the weather impacts this week, the road opening date was pushed back and is now expected to reopen November 20, 2015.

Taylor Street

Taylor Street, at its intersection with State Route 58 in the village of Wellington, is closed for work as part of the SR 58 railroad grade separation project. Detour will be posted. The road is expected to reopen in late November 2015.

MEDINA COUNTY

State Route 94 – ***UPDATE***

The southbound lane of State Route 94 is closed at Highland High School (between Wilbur Road and Granger Road) for a turn lane construction project. The northbound lane of SR 94 will not be affected and can travel through the area. The detour route for southbound motorists is SR 94 to Interstate 271, south on I-271 to Interstate 71, south on I-71 to State Route 18, east on SR 18 to SR 94. The lane will reopen November 20, 2015.

County Road 46

CR 46 (Seville Road), just west of Leroy Road in Westfield Township, is closed for a bridge replacement project. The detour route is Seville Road to Leroy Road, north on Leroy Road to Greenwich Road, west on Greenwich Road to Westfield Road, south on Westfield Road to Seville Road, and reverse for eastbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen on November 30, 2015.

RICHLAND COUNTY

US Route 30

US 30, between Fifth Avenue and State Route 309, is reduced to one lane of traffic for pavement repairs. One ten-foot lane will be maintained in each direction at all times, and the speed limit will be reduced to 45mph through the work zone. The project will be complete November 18, 2015.
