The Galion Homecoming Prep Rally Thursday night brought the community together to show school spirit.

“It’s a weekend to bring the community together.” Galion High School Principal Ron Williams said. “The weekend long Connections events are unique.”

He said its a good weekend to bring the community together.

“This is a tradition we have every year.” Galion football player Zach Throckmoreton added. “It helps us win. It’s cool the community gets involved and it helps people get ready for the game. It brings people together and helps raise our spirits.”

“It’s a way to bring the community together,” Galion football player Isaiah Davis said. “There’s nothing better than being with your friends and family and celebrating.”

When Davis was asked if he would return after graduation, he looked at the bonfire and smiled.

“Just like these ashes,” Davis said. “Life takes us wherever it wants to take us, but Galion always brings us home.”
