2 arrested in connection to Knox double homicide


Mount Vernon Police have arrested a man wanted in questioning for a double homicide along with the driver of the car he was riding in.

Just before 3 p.m. Sunday , police said they noticed a car driving southbound on South Main Street with a passenger who looked like Travis Bonham, the man police were looking for in connection with Wednesday’s deaths of Sandra Lee Stelk, 50, of Mount Vernon, Jaime Linn Barber, of Newark, in Mount Vernon.

As they passed, an officer said Bonham’s car attempted to avoid the officer and police followed the car south before eventually being stopped on State Route 62 in Licking County.

Bonham was arrested without incident and the driver of the car, Ashli Price of Mount Vernon, was also arrested. Police said her driving license was suspended and she may also face additional charges.
