Joint Barbershop show with the Dogwood Blossoms

“Anything You Can Do…A Barbershop Battle” brings together the Dogwood Blossoms Women’s Chorus and guest men’s chorus, The Fun Center Chordsmen on Oct. 3 at the Knox County Memorial Theater.

The two choruses on one show is a first for both and will feature each group performing separately and as well as a combined chorus dueling back and forth on the signature song, “Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better.”

During the evening both Chorus’ musically spar and vie for your enjoyment of song and humor. These heavy-hitting men’s and women’s chorus’ and their quartets will go the distance to entertain with ballads and knock-out upbeat tunes in Barbershop style.

The show is G rated family fun entertainment for ladies and gentlemen of all ages. The Dogwood Blossoms Chorus, the local Chapter of Sweet Adelines International (SAI). SAI is a worldwide organization of women singers is committed to advancing the musical art form of Barbershop harmony.

This independent, non-profit, music education association is one of the world’s largest singing organizations for women. The Fun Center Chordsmen, is a group of men united to preserve, promote and participate in the singing of barbershop harmony. Members are men of all ages that come from varied backgrounds and experiences united in the spirit of love of four part a cappella singing.
