3 arrested in Galion drug bust

The Galion Police Department, with the assistance of the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Bucyrus Police Department, Crawford County Special Response Team and the Galion Fire Department, conducted a search warrant at 626 S. Market St., Galion Thursday morning as part of an ongoing drug investigation.

During the search, officers seized articles of drug paraphernalia and items believed to be drugs of abuse, reports indicated. Police said the potential drugs of abuse will be sent to a laboratory for testing. Three individuals at this address were arrested and taken to the Crawford County Jail pending formal filing of criminal charges.

Those arrested include Cody Moyer, 28, who is homeless, on a Trafficking in Drugs charge, Keelie Moyer, 25, who is also homeless, on charges of Permitting Drug Abuse and Possession of Drugs, Brandon Johnson Jr., 26, 626 S. Market St., on a Trafficking in Drugs charge.

“Once again, joint efforts were utilized to halt drug activity in one of our neighborhoods. We continue to urge our communities to forward any and all information to your local law enforcement agency when you believe that illegal activities are occurring” said Chief Brian Saterfield.

The Galion Police Department, Bucyrus Police Department and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office are all participants of the METRICH Drug Task Force.
