Galion Historical Society brings Clue back to Brownella Cottage

The Galion Historical Society will be hosting its second season of Murder Mystery Clue, a live-action board game at Brownella Cottage.

Games will be held 7 p.m. on Sept. 19, Oct. 24 and Oct. 30.

“It’s just like the board game Clue,” Galion Historical Society Director Andee Wildenthaler said. “We will play in the dark.”

She said there will be a cast of characters and suspects lurking around the cottage for the game, adding the players will have the chance to determine who committed the murder, what weapon was used and what room the murder took place.

“The players will be given an envelope,” Wildenthaler said. “They can read a little bit about the character. The will be given a flash light, a lanyard with clues and a detective board.”

The game will consist of ten players, divided into teams of two that will walk through the house questioning six suspects to solve the crime.

“We have stations all throughout the house,” Wildenthaler said. “The players will ask questions and mark of their charts to determine who did it, with what weapon was used and in what room the murder happened in.”

This years characters are: Bishop Brown, Asa Hosford, Adam Howard, Hazel Chase, Miriam Sayre, Bertie Coyle.
