3 Galion residents arrested after drug investigation

Three Galion residents this morning were arrested after a search warrant this morning as part of an ongoing drug investigation.

According to reports, the arrests happened at 128 W. Parson St., Galion.

Those arrested include:

* Jesse Melba, 26, 128 W. Parson St., charged with trafficking in heroin.

* Sarah Barker, 31, 128 W. Parson St., charged with permitting drug abuse and possession of heroin.

* Lisa Jenkins, 49, 128 W. Parson St., permitting drug abuse and possession of cocaine.

All three were taken to Crawford County Jail pending formal filing of criminal charges.

The Galion Police Department was assisted by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Bucyrus Police Department, Crawford County Special Response Team and the Galion Fire Department.

According to reports, officers seized numerous articles of drug paraphernalia and cash believed to be proceeds from drug transactions during the search.

“Collaborative efforts among Crawford County Law Enforcement officers continues to be successful in our fight against trafficking in illegal drugs. We stand as one and will continue to concentrate our efforts to rid neighborhoods of these illegal activities” said Chief Brian Saterfield.

The Galion Police Department, Bucyrus Police Department and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office are all participants of the METRICH Drug Task Force.
