BUCYRUS – A Galion man was sentenced to eight months in prison this week in Crawford County Common Pleas Court after violating the terms of his probation.

Gary L. Fox, 42, was sentenced to three years of probation on April 11, 2013, after he was found guilty of possession of drugs.

Fox was not the only person in court this week to be sentenced to prison time for violating probation.

Sasha J. Shoemaker, 22, Bucyrus, admitted to violating the terms of her probation by being charged with possession of drugs. She was placed on five years of probation in January after she was found guilty of forgery and theft.

Judge Sean Leuthold sentenced Shoemaker to three years in prison for violating her probation and to another year in prison on the new charge of possession of drugs. The sentences are to be served concurrently for a total of three years in prison.

Robert G. Bowersock, 43, Bucyrus, who was sentenced to four years in prison on March 25, 2013, after he was found guilty of aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony, was granted judicial release from prison. He was placed on five years of community control and must pay restitution to the victim of his crime.
