Two injured Tuesday in one vehicle crash

Preliminary report 08/11/2015: Emergency crews responded to a one vehicle accident around 1:20 pm Tuesday afternoon on Bennington Township Road 21 west of State Route 61.

Two people were injured when the driver of a Dodge Dakota truck lost control of the vehicle they were traveling in and veered off the right side of the roadway, where it went into a deep ditch. The truck continued along the ditch struck the culvert and became airborne.

According to witnesses at the scene, the truck landed on its side and at least one of the occupants was ejected.

According to the OSHP, both victims were transported to Grant Medical Center, one via Delaware EMS and the other via Med Flight with non life threatening injuries.

Responding to the scene were Delaware EMS, Morrow County EMS, Big Walnut Fire department, the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office and Post 59 of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The accident remains under investigation by Post 59 of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
