Patrick (Pat) Hill is carrying on the legacy left by his father, Bud Hill, in his own way.

Bud was known for his caring spirit and for his help with many events to benefit local people and organizations. Patrick said he also wants to help others with his new business, Karaoke Express.

“I purchased the business from Paul and Ruby Matthews in Bucyrus. I live in Marion now but will be offering services in Crawford and Marion Counties,” said Pat.

Pat said he has always wanted to help others like his father did for years before his death.

“When the business became available, I just knew it was for me. I will work out the details to provide the sound and karaoke equipment for benefits and will also be available for events such as weddings and graduation parties,” said Pat, who is also one of the volunteers at the Crawford County Humane Society’s Bingo event held on Wednesday at the Crawford County Conservation League.

Pat said he will be charging a flat rate versus an hourly rate that many others charge.

“I want my service to be affordable for people,” Pat said.
