BUCYRUS — The Bucyrus YMCA White Sharks swim team entered the 2017 Great LakesYMCA Zone Championships March 17-19 with great expectations, and the swimmers didn’t disappoint.

The White Sharks captured the 2017 Great Lakes Zones 10 & Under Age Group championship behind a pair of relay victories and one individual title.
The 200 Free and 200 Medley Relay teams each were victorious in the 10 & under age group. The teams, consisting of Emma Montgomery, Ashtyn Rickel, Miranda Stone and McKena Ward, posted team record-setting times of 1:56.06 in the Free Relay and 2:13.52 in the Medley Relay respectively.
