Galion man sentenced to three years in prison on marijuana charges

BUCYRUS — A Galion man is heading to prison after pleading guilty to drug charges in Crawford County Common Pleas Court.

Ronnie J. Gerber, 52, 666 Dawsett Ave., pleaded guilty to one count of the illegal cultivation of marijuana and possession of drugs, both third-degree felonies, and was sentenced to three years in prison. He must report to jail to be processed for prison on Jan. 16.

A Crestline man was also sentenced to time in prison on a drug-related charge.

Joseph M. Strickland, 38, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of drugs and was sentenced to one year in prison. He was also ordered to pay a $1,250 fine.

A Galion man charged with theft faces five years of probation.

Paul E. Clum, 53, pleaded guilty to one count of theft, a fifth-degree felony, and was placed on five years of community control. He must also pay restitution to Ohio Job and Family services in an amount that is yet to be determined.
