LINCOLN HIGHWAY CAR SHOW —The 13th Lincoln Highway Car Show is Saturday at the all-new Mathews Chevrolet Buick in Bucyrus, 1885 Marion Road. All years makes, models and motorcycles welcome. Gates open 8 a.m. Registration is 9 a.m. to noon. The show is noon to 3:30 p.m. and awards will be presented at 3:30 p.m. This is the Class of 1967 50th reunion, so all 1957 models or makes get free show entry. Registration is $12 — $8 for veterans — and spectators get in free.

FAIRVIEW CEMETERY WALK — A Historic Cemetery walk June 11 at Fairview Cemetery will celebrate the accomplishments of individuals who have been involved with the Galion Red Cross since its inception June 2, 1917. The program runs from 1-3 p.m. There will be several tours with start times as follows: at 1 p.m. bicycles can ride through the cemetery to hear the actors; there will be two walking tours at 1:15 p.m., two more at 1:30 p.m. and two additional tours at 1:45 p.m. At 2 p.m. the actors will come to you, this part of the program is geared toward senior citizens and others who have walking difficulties.

TEA PARTY GROUP MEETING — The Mansfield North Central Ohio Tea Party will meet Monday, June 12 at 1164 Wyandotte Ave., in Mansfield. The meeting topic is “Saving Babies And Changing Lives.” The guest speaker will be Pam Crank of Richland Pregnancy Services. The meeting is 7-9 p.m.

150 PLACES TO VISIT IN OHIO — Crestline Public Library will host a round-table discussion at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 15 led by Mike Hocker, past president of Ohio Byways coalition discussing over 150 places to visit in Ohio that many people overlook. The program is free, and participants are encouraged to share their small town discoveries as well. The talk will include some tricks and tips about finding a good restaurant, shopping, museum-hopping, and what to expect when entering a small or unfamiliar town, and getting the best of its amenities.

BOARD OF ELECTIONS MEETING — The Crawford County Board of Elections will meet Thursday, June 15, at 9:30 a.m. to conduct regular business. The meeting will be held in the board office at 112 E. Mansfield St., Bucyrus.

FROM CITIZEN TO PATRIOT — will meet at 6:30 p.m.Thursday, June 15, at Galion Pizza Hut. The program will be a salute to the U.S. Flag and Dennis Easterday from the American Legion will be a guest speaker to discuss flag etiquette and respect. PERSONAL FINANCE SERIES — Crestline Public Library’s third installment of Building Personal Finances will be a program on Understanding Reverse Mortgage/Home Equity Conversion Mortgages. The program is June 20, 6 p.m. and will be presented by Michele Razdrh.

BUILD A BETTER WORLD — Children’s program at Crestline Public Library is called Build a Better World. It is for anyone to age10. June 20, 10 a.m. Tess Shimko will be the presenter.

PAINT AND PUNCH CLASSES AT KINGWOOD — Enjoy punch and snacks while you create your own beautiful work of art using acrylic paints. HOME OVER HEROIN RALLY — Hope Over Heroin is a non-profit, faith-based organization that is bringing together churches, businesses and addiction recovery resources for a two-day outreach in Bucyrus on the city square on Friday and Saturday, June 23-24. The program each day will run from each day 6-9 p.m. The purpose of the outreach is to increase public awareness of the scope of the epidemic and, more importantly, to incorporate a faith-based approach — specifically a Christ-centered message of hope through the gospel — to the services currently offered to addicts and families by addiction.

WINNIE THE POOH FOR ADULTS — In this vivid keynote lecture for adults, Kathryn Aalto takes us on an illuminating adventure through the most beloved setting in literature. Along the way, we learn the backstory of A. A. Milne’s classic books, re-think the changing nature of childhood, and discover the rare Ashdown Forest (a.k.a. Hundred Acre Wood) where A. A. SUCCULENT WALL HANGING CLASS — Succulent are very popular and do very well in containers in a variety of different situations. Participants will learn how to create a unique wall hanging to take home using succulents. DANIEL BOONE AT GALION LIBRARY — Daniel Boone’s life is the stuff of American legend. Join us as historian, lecturer, and author Ken Hammontree becomes the iconic American Frontiersman. This event will be held on the library’s side lawn, weather permitting, Monday, June 26 at 6 p.m. In the case of inclement weather, the event will be held in the community room. This event is free, but registration is required. Please call the library at 419-468-3203 to register or stop by the main circulation desk. All ages are welcome.

ADULT SUMMER READING — program at Crestline Public Library called Build a Better World will have Craft Night on June 26, at 6 p.m. Adults will be creating a paper wreath made out of old book pages. This class is limited to 12 and participants must sign up by calling 419-683-3909. Bring a glue gun and glue sticks, if possible.
