DANIEL BOONE AT GALION LIBRARY — Daniel Boone’s life is the stuff of American legend. Join us as historian, lecturer, and author Ken Hammontree becomes the iconic American Frontiersman. This event will be held on the library’s side lawn, weather permitting, Monday, June 26 at 6 p.m. In the case of inclement weather, the event will be held in the community room. This event is free, but registration is required. Please call the library at 419-468-3203 to register or stop by the main circulation desk. All ages are welcome.

ADULT SUMMER READING — program at Crestline Public Library called Build a Better World will have Craft Night on June 26, at 6 p.m. Adults will be creating a paper wreath made out of old book pages. This class is limited to 12 and participants must sign up by calling 419-683-3909. Bring a glue gun and glue sticks, if possible.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL — St. Paul United Methodist Church, 746 Cherry St., Galion, will have its Vacation Bible School, “Maker Fun Factory” June 26-June 30 from 9 a.m. to noon each day. Bible school is open to all children between the ages of 4-year-old old and those entering sixth grade in the fall. Call 419-468-4557 or stop in at the church to register.

OUTREACH DINNER — St. Paul United Methodist Church, 746 Cherry St., Galion, will hold a Community Outreach Dinner Wednesday, June 28 from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Dinners are always the LAST Wednesday of the month. Donations Accepted. Carry outs available. No Home Delivery.

FORMER U.S. TREASURER TO SPEAK — Mary Ellen Withrow, 40th treasurer of the United States, will speak at 6 p.m. June 29 at Bucyrus Public Library, 200 E. Mansfield St. The presentation by Withrow, a Marion native and current resident, is presented by the Mid-Ohio Progressives.

PICKLE RUN FESTIVAL — Galion’s Pickle Run Festival is Saturday and Sunday, July 2. It starts with a triathlon and 5k run on Saturday morning and ends with a fireworks display Sunday evening at dusk. In between will be lots of fun and games for family and friends, music, a car show, inflatables for the kids, lots of food and local vendors. “AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL” ART SHOW — Brush and Palette Art Gallery is hosting a special show called “America The Beautiful” in July. Artworks depicting the lyrics of the song “America the Beautiful” will be accepted from the public on Sunday, June 25 from 2-4 p.m. There is a $5 hanging fee for each piece entered.
