BUCYRUS — A Galion man was sentenced to prison time last week in Crawford County Common Pleas Court after he pleaded guilty to driving under the influence, a fourth-degree felony.

Steven D. Beale, 48, was sentenced to 18 months in prison. Beale also must pay a $1,350 fine after he admitted that he had been sober for a month and a half before the incident occurred. Judge Sean Leuthold also suspended Beale’s driver’s license for five years.

A Bucyrus woman avoided prison time after her original charge was amended to a lesser charge.

Adrianne R. Seitz, 30, Bucyrus, pleaded guilty to one count of assault, a first-degree misdemeanor. The charge was amended from one count of felonious assault, a second-degree felony, after it was found that the victim did not sustain major serious injuries from the assault.

Leuthold placed Seitz on five years of community control and she must complete an anger management program.
